| The inline wire strainer is used to join two
wires. The wire is fed through the ratchet spindle and then tightened
with a ratchet handle.
We use an inline strainer when building a wood end brace. Versus
a crimp sleeve which is a permanent join, the inline strainer allows
the wire to be further tightened in the future. This allows you
to keep the end brace taught at all times.
Note the solid, sprung loaded ratchet pin which firmly holds the
steel side straps together.
